The Kitchen

The Kitchen is your personal base in Resonance. It's where you spend the RSNC you earn from bounty payouts, where your daily and weekly play loops live, and where your Tune-In level translates into actual gameplay.

The mental model (read this once)
Three loops, stacked on top of each other:
- Producers sit in your Harvest Area and passively generate ingredients + small RSNC drips while you go about your week.
- Recipes sit in the Cooking Area and actively consume ingredients to craft outputs — consumable buffs, equipment, ascension tokens, Forge inputs.
- Equipment sits on the Equipment Rack and boosts the active crafting — better odds, faster cooks, higher-rarity outputs.
Producers feed Recipes. Recipes feed your Equipment Rack and Storage. Equipment makes Recipes pay off more. That's the whole flywheel.

Kitchen V2 is live end-to-end. The producer / cooking / mailbox / recipe services are shipped and the marketplace surface is live. Major changes since the May 21 status block:
- Reforge via Cook replaced the RSNC/USDSC/Stripe level-up ladder (2026-06-03). Both producers and equipment now level by cooking a dedicated upgrade recipe. The cook binds to the specific piece you started it from, and the claim auto-redeems the level bump in the same response.
- Equipment Reforge ladder full L1 → L10 shipped (2026-06-04, mig 261) — 54 recipes across all 6 slots, ingredient tier scales Standard (L1-L4) → Rare (L4-L7) → Mythical (L7-L10).
- Temp cook slots raised 1 → 3 (2026-06-03). With 3 permanent + 3 temp = 6 total cook lanes at full tilt. Enables parallel-Reforge cycles.
- Per-slot auto-redeem attribution toasts (2026-06-04). Every claim that triggers an auto-redeem fires a toast tagged with the slot and the new level —

The reveal payload persists to sessionStorage so refreshing mid-reveal re-opens it on next mount — no more lost celebrations after an accidental Ctrl+R.
- Producer gear drops + Ascension (A0–A5) (2026-06-02). Each producer tick rolls a per-tick gear-drop chance proportional to its planted seeds' Elegance points. Ascension multiplies both yield and weekly drop cap.
- Carryover from May 21: equipment stats are flat points (not percentages), seeds are consumable with sub-slot FIFO queue, producer ROI is 5 RSNC per ingredient (2026-05-25 retune from 13) with a 15K-RSNC per-harvest cap.

Three tiers, structurally distinct
Every Producer and Equipment item exists in three tiers. The tier is readable at a glance from any marketplace thumbnail — a Mythical item is structurally a different object from a Standard one, not just a recolor.

How the Kitchen plugs into the rest of Resonance
- AS earning — Successful cooks emit Activity Score into a 5,000-per-week crafting bucket, separate from the 10K-per-week chat bucket. Both feed the same weekly bounty settlement.
- Tune-In — Your level gates slot unlocks, mailbox roll counts, and the base point contribution to all three kitchen stat axes (Skill / Speed / Elegance).
- Forge — A subset of recipe outputs feed the Forge avatar pipeline. Foundry materials from Forge (ore, ingot, slag, plating, shard, gem, spark, rune) are being elevated to Kitchen V2 recipe inputs.
- Signal Subscription — +1 producer slot, mailbox priority (+1 rarity bias on the daily roll), Quest Pack discovery feed.
- Pay-or-Play Parity — Every RSNC spend has a USDSC alternative at parity.
