Equipment Rack
Updated 2026-06-04.
The Equipment Rack has 6 typed slots. Each slot accepts one item with its own stat line. Your equipped loadout boosts the three kitchen stat axes — Skill (cook success), Speed (cook time reduction), and Elegance (rarity-upgrade roll).
Equipment is the active half of the kitchen flywheel. Producers grow your ingredient supply passively. Equipment makes the cooks you do with those ingredients pay off more — higher success rate, faster turnaround, better outputs.
Equipment stat lines now display as flat points — a piece shows "+12 Skill", not "+12% Skill". The recipe-success curve takes the sum of points across your rack and converts that into a probability via a 99.99% asymptote at gear = threshold/2.
Concretely, six perfect Mythicals on a maxed rack adds up to ~120 total stat points. The full stat ranges below were re-rolled today against the new system — every existing equipment token was re-issued under the new bands.
The 6 slots, walkthrough
All six slots are always available and equippable — there's no Tune-In gate on the rack itself. The slots just start empty. The slot taxonomy is kitchen-flavored (separate from Forge gear's Head / Shoulders / Chest / Aura / Accessory / Trinket — those are different slots in a different system). UI shows a (Kitchen) or (Forge) pill on each item to make this unambiguous.
| Slot | What it is (kitchen-flavored) | Standard piece | Rare piece | Mythical piece |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Primary | The main heat source / cooktop | Pulse Hearth | Plasma Range | Singularity Skillet |
| Secondary | Mixing / agitation tool | Sonic Spinner | Harmonic Mixer | Quasar Whisk |
| Vest | Torso garment (apron / smock) | Stardust Apron | Spectrum Smock | Void Carapace |
| Cap | Headwear (toque / beanie / halo) | Quantum Toque | Pulsar Beanie | Frequency Halo |
| Gloves | Hands | Echo Mitts | Heat-Sink Gauntlets | Gravity Grips |
| Tool | Hand-held implement (spoon / ladle / spatula) | Spectral Spoon | Resonant Ladle | Singularity Spatula |
What each slot contributes
Each slot is functionally identical in what kinds of stat lines it can roll — Primary doesn't favor Skill over Elegance, for example. The slot exists to structure your loadout (one piece per slot, no doubling up) and to gate set bonuses (you need all 6 slots filled at the same tier to hit the 6-piece bonus).
Every equipped piece adds flat points to one, two, or three of the three axes:
| Axis | "Stat line type" in the data | Plain-English |
|---|---|---|
| Skill | cook_success_pct | Adds points to your Skill total → raises success rate |
| Speed | time_to_cook_pct | Adds points to your Speed total → shortens cook timer |
| Elegance | result_rarity_pct | Adds points to your Elegance total → raises rarity-upgrade roll chance |
(The _pct suffix is a legacy field name in the data, kept for backward compatibility. The numbers are flat points, not percentages. A piece showing "+12 Skill" adds 12 points to your Skill total. See Advanced — The Three Stat Axes for the math.)
Stat lines roll per piece at mint (new ranges 2026-05-20)
Every equipment piece rolls a tier-dependent number of stat lines at mint, within its tier band. The 2026-05-20 rebalance set these ranges:
| Tier | Stat lines | Points per stat | How many stats roll |
|---|---|---|---|
| Standard | 1 stat | +3 to +5 | Always 1 |
| Rare | 1–2 stats | +6 to +10 | 80% chance of 1 stat, 20% chance of 2 |
| Mythical | 2–3 stats | +11 to +20 | 80% chance of 2 stats, 20% chance of 3 |
Ascension multiplies the stat band: A0 / A1 / A2 / A3 = ×1.0 / ×1.3 / ×1.6 / ×1.9.
A perfect Mythical (max roll on every line, 3 stats) caps near +60 points per piece. A full 6-piece Mythical rack tops out around ~120 total points across Skill / Speed / Elegance combined.
Effects stack additively across the rack. Two pieces with +5 Skill stack to +10 Skill. Two pieces with +8 Speed stack to +16 Speed. Equip more, get more — until you bump into the success rate asymptote at 99.99% at gear-points ≈ threshold/2.
Every equipment token that existed before today (121 tokens) was re-rolled under the new ranges. If you owned equipment from the pre-pivot era, the points it shows now reflect the new bands, not its old rolled numbers. Your inventory count and slot assignment didn't change.
Set bonuses
Wearing matching-tier full kits triggers set bonuses on top of individual stat lines.
| Set | 3-piece bonus | 6-piece bonus |
|---|---|---|
| Apprentice (all Standard) | +3% Cook Success | +10% Cook Success + +5% Result Rarity |
| Harmonist (all Rare) | +5% Cook Success | +15% Cook Success + +8% Result Rarity |
| Resonator (all Mythical) | +7% Cook Success | +20% Cook Success + +10% Result Rarity |
A Resonator 6/6 (all Mythical) with Mythical-tier individual stats can push success rates well into the upper-90s on most recipes. The 95% → 99.99% band is asymptotic — more gear keeps helping, but with steep diminishing returns.
Leveling — Reforge via Cook
Equipment levels 1 → 10. Higher level shifts the stat ceiling within the tier band — your Singularity Skillet at L10 has a higher cap on Skill points than at L1.
The legacy level-up payment picker (RSNC / USDSC / Stripe) was retired. Every equipment level-up now flows through a dedicated Reforge cook recipe. Open the piece in the rack, hit the Reforge → L+1 button, and the kitchen does the rest. Players who held in-flight level-ups under the old system were refunded automatically.
How it works
- Open the piece — tap the equipped item in the rack to open its detail modal.
- Hit Reforge — the modal shows a
L{current} → L{next}chip and a Reforge → L+1 button. Tap it. - Cook Start opens pre-targeted — the cook recipe is bound to this specific equipped piece. You don't pick the recipe; the modal opens straight into the ingredient grid for the matching transition.
- Pick ingredients — 4 ingredients per Reforge cook (Plating, Ingot, Spark, Shard), all from the same tier band:
- L1 → L4 uses Standard tier (cids 193 / 187 / 204 / 198)
- L4 → L7 uses Rare tier (cids 195 / 189 / 206 / 200)
- L7 → L10 uses Mythical tier (cids 197 / 191 / 208 / 202)
- Hold to Cook — same gesture as any other cook. Both the Equipment detail modal AND the Cook Start modal close once the cook starts; you land back on the kitchen view.
- UPGRADING overlay — while the cook is in flight, the slot's tile shows an UPGRADING overlay. You can't start a second Reforge against the same piece — pick a different slot or wait.
- Claim → auto-redeem — when the timer hits zero and you tap Claim, the equipment level bumps in the same response. You get a toast:
⚒️ Equipment leveled up · L→L+1.
Reforge ladder reference
The full L1 → L10 ladder is published for all 6 slots (54 recipes total). Cook time and ingredient quantity scale by band:
| Transition | Tier | Plating × | Ingot × | Spark × | Shard × | Cook time |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| L1 → L2 | Standard | 3 | 3 | 2 | 2 | 60 min |
| L2 → L3 | Standard | 4 | 4 | 3 | 3 | 60 min |
| L3 → L4 | Standard | 5 | 5 | 4 | 4 | 60 min |
| L4 → L5 | Rare | 3 | 3 | 2 | 2 | 90 min |
| L5 → L6 | Rare | 4 | 4 | 3 | 3 | 90 min |
| L6 → L7 | Rare | 5 | 5 | 4 | 4 | 90 min |
| L7 → L8 | Mythical | 3 | 3 | 2 | 2 | 120 min |
| L8 → L9 | Mythical | 4 | 4 | 3 | 3 | 120 min |
| L9 → L10 | Mythical | 5 | 5 | 4 | 4 | 120 min |
The kL gate on the recipe (Kitchen Level required to attempt) scales 5 / 15 / 30 across the Standard / Rare / Mythical bands. RSNC cost = 0 — you only pay the ingredient inputs.
The cook output is a marker collection — there's no rarity-upgrade roll involved. The Cook Start modal hides the Elegance variant picker on Reforge recipes so you can't accidentally swap to a higher-tier ingredient for an Elegance bonus that has no effect.
Things to know
- The burner shows the equipment piece, not a placeholder. The Reforge marker output (collection 1135) has no art; the kitchen swaps in your piece's hero image so a vest cook shows your vest, a primary cook shows your primary, etc.
- You can run multiple Reforges in parallel — one per slot. Three slots reforging at once = three burners occupied for the duration. (Make sure you have the temp slots to spare — see Recipes and Cooking — Cooking slots.)
- If a transition isn't shipped yet, the modal says "Upgrade recipe coming soon" instead of the Reforge button. The full L1 → L10 ladder shipped 2026-06-04 so all transitions are live today; this guard is here for any future content gap.
- Auto-bind defense. Even on edge-case paths where the binding doesn't reach the cook row (a stale tab, a race), the backend looks up your equipped piece for the recipe's slot and bumps the right token. You won't lose a Reforge to a "null target" silent failure.
Pricing (mint)
| Tier | USDSC | RSNC (pre-Tune-In discount) |
|---|---|---|
| Standard | $5 | 5,000 |
| Rare | $15 | 15,000 |
| Mythical | $50 | 50,000 |
Pay-or-Play parity applies — Tune-In discount on the RSNC side only.
Legendary equipment is not directly mintable. Legendary pieces come only from:
- The L60+ Apotheosis chain recipe (one Legendary per slot per successful cook)
- The Apotheosis Gacha Pack ($50 USDSC / 50,000 RSNC — random slot)
See Advanced — L60+ Apotheosis for the gating + math.
Where each tier of equipment comes from
| Source | Tier | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Marketplace | Standard, Rare, Mythical | Direct mint, any slot |
| Mailbox | Standard mostly, occasional Rare | Random slot |
| Flash recipe — Tidal Tartare | Rare | Random slot |
| Limited recipe — Quasar Quiche | Mythical | Random slot |
| L40 Tier-Up chain | Mythical | You pick the slot (3 Rare slot pieces + Mythic ingredient catalyst → 1 Mythic of the same slot) |
| L60+ Apotheosis chain | Legendary | You pick the slot, but with soft stat-gate + 40% success rate |
| Apotheosis Gacha Pack | Legendary | Random slot, premium price |
Strategy notes
- Start with the cheapest path to a meaningful Skill floor. A full Apprentice set (Std 6/6) is six pieces × 5K RSNC = 30K RSNC and nets you +10 Cook Success from set bonus alone. Worth completing before chasing Mythicals.
- Don't over-equip Skill. Once you're past 95% success rate on the recipes you actually run, additional Skill points hit the asymptotic band. Rotate those into Speed or Elegance.
- For Limited / Apotheosis recipes, prioritize Elegance. Low base success rates (30–45%) mean Skill matters, but Result Rarity matters more — the whole point of the recipe is the rare output, and Elegance procs are how you upgrade or double the result. See Advanced — Variant Elegance.
- Set bonuses are an underrated multiplier on cheap gear. A Standard 6/6 Apprentice with each piece rolling Skill stats can outperform a mismatched 4-piece Rare loadout simply from the +10 set bonus.
- Plan around Ascension before chasing more pieces. A0 → A1 alone multiplies your stats ×1.3 and is often cheaper than buying another Mythical.
