The Hollow Merchant

At the edge of the kitchens is a stall no one remembers being built, kept by a figure with no face and no shadow. The Hollow Merchant will not touch your Resonance. "Anyone can spend that," it rasps. "I deal only in what you have earned."

It trades in three premium currenciesChits, Crests and Scrolls. You cannot buy them, sell them, or trade them to another player. You earn them, slowly, by showing up and playing well — roughly a couple a day. That time-gate is the whole point: the Merchant's wares are the ceiling-raises and prestige unlocks that Resonance can't buy.

Open to everyone

The Hollow Merchant is now open to all players — its built wares are purchasable by anyone with enough of the currency. Your balance is the only gate: if you can afford a ware, you can buy it. Wares still marked "Soon" in the stall are previews whose spend path is on the way, and their prices aren't final.

Three shops, one stall

The store lays out three cloths side by side. Above each is your balance of that currency; below it, the wares that currency buys. Each currency is earned in a different part of the game and spent on things unique to that domain — so each cloth is really its own shop, with its own page here:

Earn-only and non-transferable — all three

None of the Merchant's currencies can be bought with Resonance or real money, or traded to another player. A dedicated player earns them a little faster than a casual one, but no one can skip the line. The wares that come out of them — a whole gear tier above Legendary, capability unlocks, kitchen slots — are the things Resonance was never meant to buy.
