Battle — The Arena
The Arena is in Alpha / pre-launch as of June 2026. This page explains how it will work so you can start building toward it now (the fighters and gear you make today carry straight into it). Exact numbers may shift during balancing.
The Arena is where you battle. You build a team of three fighters and send them up against other players' teams to climb a seasonal leaderboard and earn rewards. It's the competitive end of the game — the part where your crafting and building pays off.
Where it fits
The whole game is one loop: craft → build a fighter → battle.
Kitchen (craft) → Forge (build a fighter) → Arena (battle)
Everything you cook and forge feeds your Arena teams. So even before the Arena opens, time in the Kitchen and Forge is time well spent.
How you'll play
- Build fighters (Avatars). In the Forge, six gear pieces combine into a fighter with rolled stats — Health, Attack, Defense, and Speed — plus a role, a type, and skills. Better gear in → stronger fighter out.
- Gear them up. Equip extra gear for stat boosts, or spend gear sets to Ascend a fighter to a higher level (Ascension is the only way fighters grow — there's no combat XP).
- Pick a team of three. A good team mixes roles (see below).
- Submit your team. Other players can then challenge it, and you can challenge theirs.
- Battles resolve on their own. Combat is automatic — no live input. You set the team; the fighters do the rest. The same teams and seed always produce the same result, so battles are fair and replayable.
How a battle works
- 3 versus 3, played out automatically, one fighter acting at a time.
- Speed decides turn order — faster fighters act first.
- Each fighter picks its move by role: Healers heal hurt teammates, Tanks soak damage and protect, Damage dealers finish off weak enemies first.
- You win when all three enemy fighters are down.
Roles and types
| Pick | What it is |
|---|---|
| Role | Tank (soaks damage), Damage (deals it), or Healer (keeps the team alive). A balanced team usually wants all three. |
| Type | An elemental theme (9 types total — Volcanic, Storm, and so on). Each season's Forge mints a new type, so the battle meta shifts over time. |
| Skills | Each fighter rolls skills from its role + type. Rarer fighters roll more skills. |
Rewards
- Every battle earns rewards — you earn from playing, not just winning. Roughly 60% of rewards come from taking part and 40% from wins, so newcomers always make progress while skill still matters.
- Battling feeds the same rewards everything else does — your weekly RSNC and your level (Tune-In). The Arena has no separate currency.
- Season leaderboard (28 days): climb by winning. At season end, top players earn RSNC drops and badges, and everyone who took part gets a participation badge. The leaderboard builds up over the whole season — no weekly reset — so a slow week doesn't wipe your progress.
Fair-play caps (so no one farms it)
- You can submit up to 3 defensive teams a week, and each can be challenged at most 5 times — so no single team can be farmed forever.
- Battle rewards cap at a set amount per week; past that, extra battles still play but stop adding to your weekly total. (You can keep earning elsewhere — Kitchen, Discord, etc.)
- You can swap your teams any time to adapt to the meta.
Start building now
The Arena isn't open yet, but your roster is built in the Kitchen and Forge. Cook gear, forge a fighter or two, and you'll walk into Alpha with a team ready to go.
