Kitchen Quickstart

Updated 2026-05-21.

If you're brand-new to Resonance — or you've never played a blockchain game in your life — this is the right place to start. We'll get you from zero to a working kitchen in about five minutes of reading and a handful of clicks.

Mental model — read this first

The Kitchen is three loops stacked on top of each other:

  1. Producers sit in your Harvest Area and passively generate ingredients + a little RSNC while you go about your week. Plant once, claim later.
  2. Recipes sit in the Cooking Area and actively consume ingredients to craft outputs — consumable buffs, equipment, ascension tokens. You start the cook, wait for the timer, claim the output.
  3. Equipment sits on the Equipment Rack and boosts the active crafting odds — better cook success, faster cook times, higher-rarity outputs.

Producers feed Recipes. Recipes feed your Equipment Rack and Storage. Equipment makes Recipes pay off more. That's the whole flywheel.

What you start with

Your first time landing on /kitchen you'll have:

ThingWhat you get at Tune-In L1
Producer slots1 free (Slot 1)
Cooking slots1 free (Slot 1)
Equipment Rack slotsAll 6 slot types are always available — but they start empty
Mailbox1 free daily roll
StorageEmpty, ready to receive

Levels 5 and 15 unlock the rest of your free slots. See Slot Unlocks for the full table.

Step 1 — Plant your first seed (Slot 1)

  1. Open /kitchen and click into Harvest Area.
  2. Slot 1 is unlocked and empty. Click it.
  3. From the Producer marketplace, mint a Standard producer — they cost 5,000 RSNC or $5 USDSC (Pay-or-Play parity). The five archetypes:
    • Astral Beehive — produces Sweet (Stellar Honey, Astral Apple)
    • Frequency Garden — produces Vegetal (Harmonic Herbs, Lunar Lettuce)
    • Echo Mushroom Cluster — produces Earth (Echo Spores, Void Truffle)
    • Photon Aquarium — produces Protein (Pulse Eggs, Photon Fish)
    • Crystalline Reactor — produces Crystal (Resonant Crystals, Quantum Salt)
  4. Once minted, the producer drops into Slot 1. It has 2 sub-slots (Standard tier). Plant one ingredient seed in each sub-slot — they must be the same family as the producer.
  5. Done. The producer is now running on a 7–12 hour cadence (Standard tier).
Seeds are consumable

A planted seed lasts a fixed number of harvests by rarity: Standard = 1, Rare = 2, Mythical = 3. Once consumed, the sub-slot stops yielding until you plant a new seed — but any RSNC you've spent leveling the sub-slot stays forever (Q/F/R picks are permanent). You can also stack a queue of seeds (multi-select planting), and the head seed auto-rotates as each one burns. See Producers — Seeds are consumable.

Step 2 — Wait, then claim your harvest

Producers fire on their tier frequency (Standard = 7–12 hours; faster at higher tiers). You don't have to babysit. Come back the next day — there'll be a Claim button on the producer card.

Claiming a harvest does four things at once:

  • Mints the ingredients into your Storage (1–2 items per sub-slot per harvest tick at Standard tier; Quality picks roll a 33% +1 each).
  • Drops an RSNC payout — currently 5 RSNC per ingredient (2026-05-25 retune from 13), capped at 15,000 RSNC per harvest (the cap only binds at maxed Mythical L10+ setups; typical organic farms aren't affected).
  • Counts toward your daily Streak (any harvest claim, mailbox open, recipe start, or gm keeps the streak alive).
  • Decrements the head seed. Each harvest reduces the head seed's remaining count by 1; when it hits 0, the seed burns and the next queued seed promotes to head.
Harvest cap

Harvests accumulate up to a 24-hour ceiling, with a per-harvest RSNC cap (currently 15,000 RSNC) so a long break doesn't dump unlimited output in one click. The cap is sized so it only binds at maxed Mythical L10 + heavily-stat-picked setups — typical farms never hit it. Claim regularly — at least every couple of days — to avoid losing payload to the 24h accumulation ceiling.

Step 3 — Cook your first recipe

  1. Open Cooking Area. Slot 1 is unlocked.
  2. The starter recipe roster includes Pulse Bread at recipe Level 1 — 80% base success, 30-minute cook, consumes 2 Pulse Egg + 3 Harmonic Herbs.
  3. If you don't have those exact ingredients yet, pick a Permanent recipe whose inputs match what your producer dropped. Permanent recipes have the highest base success rates.
  4. Click Start Cook. The recipe slot ticks down on its cook timer (60-second hard floor regardless of Speed).
  5. When the timer hits zero, the result mints into Storage immediately (~5–10 seconds). A reveal modal shows the base rarity first, then morphs to the bumped rarity with a confetti cannon if Elegance procced an upgrade.

That's a complete loop: ingredient → cook → output.

Step 4 — Mint and equip your first piece

Outputs from cooking are fine, but most early equipment comes from the marketplace:

  1. Open Equipment Rack. There are 6 typed slots, all empty.
  2. From the equipment marketplace, mint a Standard piece (5,000 RSNC / $5 USDSC). Pick any slot — Primary (Pulse Hearth) is a fine first pick.
  3. The piece is minted with 1 stat roll within the Standard band (Rare = 1–2 stats, Mythical = 2–3):
    • Skill (cook success): +3 to +5 points
    • Speed (time-to-cook): +3 to +5 points
    • Elegance (result rarity): +3 to +5 points
  4. From your Storage / Inventory, click Equip on the piece. It snaps into the matching Equipment Rack slot.
  5. Your kitchen's stat totals update immediately. Your next cook uses those boosted numbers.

Equipment stats are flat points, not percentages. Every piece you equip adds points to one or more of three axes — Skill (success rate), Speed (cook time), and Elegance (rarity bump). Your Tune-In level also contributes a base amount to each axis. Recipes are gated by a points threshold equal to the recipe's level — beat the threshold, you're at 50%; double the threshold, you're at 95%; the curve asymptotes to 99.99% from there. See Advanced — The Three Stat Axes for the math.

Leveling up equipment now offers a payment picker (RSNC / USDSC / card). All three settle at parity.

Step 5 — Open your daily Mailbox

While all of the above is happening, the Mailbox is your free daily drop.

  • One free roll per day at L1 (scales up to 5 at L81+ Resonate).
  • Drops ingredients, low-tier equipment, occasionally a Standard producer.
  • Opening the mailbox counts toward your streak even if you do nothing else that day.

Don't rely on the Mailbox for specific items — it's a mystery box, not a shop.

Where to go next

You now have a complete loop running. From here:

  • Slot Guides — what each producer slot 1–6 is for, and which ones cost USDSC to unlock.
  • Equipment — the 6 slot types, set bonuses, and stat math.
  • Recipes and Cooking — the full recipe roster (Permanent / Flash / Limited) and the success-rate formula.
  • Advanced Guide — the point system, recipe chaining (L20/L40/L60+), variant Elegance, tier-up crafting.
  • Reference — every table on one page: stat bands per tier, slot unlock costs, cooldowns.

What this doesn't cover

This quickstart deliberately skips:

  • Ascension — only matters once you own Mythicals. Pick it up in Producers — Ascension stack.
  • Recipe chaining — L20+ ingredient refinement, L40 tier-up crafting, L60+ Apotheosis. Detailed in Advanced.
  • Effects panel — perk-like buffs granted by chain success (Refinery / Ascendance / Forged Will). See Advanced — Active Effects.

Take the rest at your own pace. The Kitchen is built to be sticky-but-not-grindy — a few minutes a day will keep your producers and streak healthy. Big plays (Limited recipes, Apotheosis crafts) are weekly events you can plan around.
