Wants (Buy Orders)

A Want is an open buy order: you say what item you'll buy and the price you'll pay, your funds are held, and any seller can fulfill it from their inventory. It's the other half of the player market under the Bazaar tab at play.rsnc.network.

The decision this page helps you make: post a Want, or just buy a live listing?

  • If the item is on the Listings board at a price you'll accept, buying is instant — see Buying on the Market.
  • If nothing is listed, or nothing at your price, post a Want and let sellers come to you.

Posting a Want​

  1. Open the Wants sub-tab and create a new Want.
  2. Choose the item (and quantity) you're after.
  3. Set your price in whole RSNC — the same rules as selling apply: 10 RSNC per unit minimum, whole numbers only.
  4. Confirm.
Your funds are held

When you post a Want, the RSNC to cover it is held up front — that's what guarantees a seller gets paid the instant they fulfill. The hold is released if you cancel the Want before anyone fills it.

Your Want now sits on the board as a standing offer until a seller fulfills it or you cancel.

How sellers fulfill Wants​

From the seller's side, the Wants board is a list of guaranteed buyers. If you hold an item someone Wants:

  1. Find the Want (use the able to fulfil filter — it hides every Want you can't currently satisfy from your inventory).
  2. Fulfill it directly from your inventory.
  3. You're credited RSNC instantly — the buyer's held funds release to you and the item transfers to them.

Turn on able to fulfil to see only the Wants you can actually fill right now. It's the fastest way to turn spare inventory into RSNC without listing anything yourself.

You can't fulfill your own Want

The system blocks filling a Want you posted — you can't buy from and sell to yourself. Cancel the Want instead if you no longer need it.

Avatar Wants — post a buy order for a specific Avatar​

Alongside item Wants, you can post an Avatar Want from its own Avatar Wants sub-tab: a buy order for an Avatar matching an exact spec. You choose four facets, and the Want can only be filled by an Avatar that matches all four exactly — no wildcards, no "close enough":

  1. Element — e.g. Fire
  2. Class — e.g. Brawler
  3. Role — Anchor, Striker, or Mender
  4. Creature aspect — the exact aspect (picking a rarity like Legendary for your chosen element resolves to that element's aspect)

The money side works exactly like an item Want: your RSNC is held up front (10 RSNC minimum, whole numbers), and the first seller who owns a matching Avatar can fulfil it and is paid instantly from your held funds. Because every Avatar is unique, an Avatar Want is a single-fill order. Cancel before it's filled to release the hold.

From the seller's side, the fulfil picker shows only the Avatars you own that match the Want exactly, so you can turn a spare Avatar into RSNC without listing it.

Use a Want when price matters more than timing. Use a listing when you want the item now.
