Frequently Asked Questions for Users

Common questions about earning and spending RSNC as a user.

May 2026 pivot

The economy reshaped on 2026-05-15. Most brands now run Bounty Mode: events emit Activity Score in real time, and the brand's weekly RSNC budget is split Monday 00:01 UTC across qualifying members by AS share. Resonance Official is the canary, flipping Mon 2026-05-18. Tune-In is now AS-fed — no more RSNC burn to level up. Anywhere you spend RSNC you can pay USDSC instead at parity (1 USDSC = 1,000 RSNC); see Pay-or-Play Parity.

Getting Started

Is Resonance free to use?

Yes. Signing in, earning RSNC, and claiming perks are all free. There are no transaction fees — Resonance covers all costs.

Do I need a crypto wallet?

No. When you sign up, Resonance automatically creates a secure wallet for you behind the scenes. You never need to manage wallets, private keys, gas fees, or any blockchain details.

What is RSNC?

RSNC credits are loyalty points funded by brands. They're not cryptocurrency or tradable tokens — they represent funded loyalty units that you earn by engaging with brands and spend on perks.

How do I get started?

Visit perks.rsnc.network and sign in with your email, Google, Discord, Twitter, or GitHub account. That's it — your account is created automatically.

Earning

How do I earn RSNC?

Every qualifying action emits Activity Score. What happens next depends on the brand:

  • On Bounty Mode brands (most brands soon), AS accumulates all week, then the brand's RSNC budget is split Monday 00:01 UTC by your AS share. No per-event RSNC.
  • On legacy/additive brands, RSNC pays out per event in real time, and AS still accumulates in the background to feed your Tune-In Hz progress.

Three earning surfaces:

  1. Discord — daily check-ins, quality messages, reactions, voice time, drops, plus Tune-In events (Stage Host, Conversation Starter, Dawn Patrol, etc.) that emit higher AS at higher Tune-In tiers
  2. Websites — signups, purchases, form submissions on brand sites that integrate Resonance
  3. Social media — brand-run campaigns routed through Discord share-to-earn channels

See: How to Earn

How much can I earn?

Depends on your brand's mode.

Bounty Mode brands. Your payout is your AS share of the weekly pool:

your_payout = floor(your_AS / sum_of_qualifying_AS × pool)

Resonance Official's W21 pool is 50,000 RSNC. If you earned 1,000 AS that week and total qualifying AS across all members is 200,000, you receive floor(1,000 / 200,000 × 50,000) = 250 RSNC. Sustained beats spiky — there's no per-day reset, and there's a 50-AS-per-week qualifying floor.

Additive (legacy) brands. Per-event RSNC, scoped to that brand only:

  • Daily check-in: 10–40 RSNC (scales with Tune-In level)
  • Quality message: 5–30 RSNC
  • Announcement reaction: ~5 RSNC
  • Tune-In events (L10+): 24–120 RSNC per trigger
  • Website signup: 50–100 RSNC
  • Purchase: 200–500 RSNC

On additive brands, streak multipliers stack on top. Tune-In Generation Boost historically stacked too — capped at 5.0× (+400%) — and continues to apply on additive brands. Gear Set bonuses add another +5% / +15% / +25%. On Bounty Mode brands these multipliers don't apply to the bounty payout itself (the pool is split purely by AS share).

How do I see what I can earn right now?

In any Resonance-enabled Discord server, run:

/cooldowns

It shows your current Tune-In level, every event you qualify for (with charges and cooldowns), and a "locked upcoming" section listing what you'll unlock at higher levels.

Why didn't my message earn a reward?

Not every message earns RSNC. The bot scores each one for effort, originality, naturalness, and context fit, then compares it to the server's strictness bar. Short replies ("nice", "lol"), copy-paste, AI-sounding text, and rapid-fire posting won't qualify. Focus on genuine contribution. Run /analyze to see your recent quality breakdown.

Full details: Message Quality

What does "strictness" mean?

Each server's admins choose how strict the quality bar is — casual, balanced, or strict. The same message that earns in a gaming server might not earn in a professional one, and that's by design. If you're earning less in a particular server, the strictness is likely set higher there.

Full details: Message Quality — What "strictness" means

Does my reputation affect how much I earn?

Yes. The bot remembers your recent patterns. Consistent, thoughtful posting keeps you earning at the top of a server's range. Repeatedly tripping quality checks temporarily reduces your earnings — but it's not a permanent penalty. Your reputation self-heals as you return to genuine engagement.

Why didn't my per-event RSNC go up when I leveled up Tune In?

This question applies to additive (legacy) brands — brands not on Bounty Mode. On Bounty Mode brands the per-event payout is 0 (you receive a single Monday bounty share weighted by AS), so Tune-In's role is gating Quest Packs, discounting spends, and unlocking more Kitchen slots — not boosting per-event RSNC.

On additive brands, a few things could be happening:

  1. Cache delay. Your Tune In level refreshes within about 5 minutes. If you just leveled up, wait a few minutes before triggering the next reward.
  2. Rounding. Rewards are whole RSNC, so small percentage bumps can round to the same integer. For a 15 RSNC base event, +45% pays floor(15 × 1.45) = 21, +48% pays floor(15 × 1.48) = 22, +54% pays floor(15 × 1.54) = 23. The jumps are real but one level at a time can look flat.
  3. /reward (manual admin grants) don't apply your Tune In Gen Boost. A manual grant pays exactly the RSNC the admin requested. Tune In applies to normal earning — quality messages, check-ins, reactions, and other configured events.
  4. Earning cap vs Tune In. Your per-message reward is capped first, then Tune In multiplies the capped amount. This means Tune In keeps adding value even when you're already at a server's cap.

See: Tune In — Level Up Your Frequency and Effects — How Bonuses Stack

What are streaks?

Daily consecutive activity builds a streak. Longer streaks give you earning multipliers (up to 2x) and unlock milestone bonuses.

See: Streaks & Achievements

What about achievements?

Achievements are planned for a future release. Once available, they'll let you track progress across brands and unlock rewards for completing goals. Streaks are fully available now.

What happens if I miss a day?

Your streak resets to zero. But you can start building it again immediately — no penalty beyond losing the multiplier.

Accounts & Linking

Resonance runs on one unified identity per person. Each account you link (Discord, Twitter, Google, a wallet) becomes an alias on that identity, so RSNC earned from any platform flows to one balance. If you earn before linking, the earnings are held and surface automatically once you link.

See: Link Your Accounts

Nothing dramatic — your balance was always yours. Linking adds the new account as an alias on your existing identity; previously-earned RSNC shows up on your consolidated profile, and future earnings from the newly-linked platform flow there automatically. No burning, no minting, no migration step.

Yes. Use /link unlink provider:x in Discord or manage connections in your web settings. You can re-link anytime.

Perks & Spending

What are perks?

Perks are rewards you claim by spending RSNC — discounts, VIP access, exclusive content, merchandise, Discord roles, and more. Each perk has a price in RSNC and may have supply limits.

How do I claim a perk?

On the web: Browse perks at perks.rsnc.network, click a perk, and click "Claim". On Discord: Use /perks to browse, then /perk-buy id:<ID> to claim.

No fees are charged. See: Spending RSNC

Are there fees to claim perks?

No. All transactions are gasless — Resonance pays the blockchain fees on your behalf.

What happens after I claim a perk?

Your RSNC is deducted, and you receive the reward (coupon code, access link, Discord role, etc.). The perk is stored in your wallet as an NFT — you can view it in your profile under "My Perks".

Can I transfer RSNC to other users?

No. RSNC credits are non-transferable. They can only be earned through engagement and spent on perks within the Resonance network.

Alchemy

What is Tune In?

Tune In is the progression spine. As of May 2026 it's AS-fed — there's no RSNC burn. As your lifetime Activity Score grows, your level rises automatically. Three things happen on level-up:

  1. Discord milestone roles — granted automatically at each Solfeggio milestone (L10, L20, ..., L90), permanent and cumulative.
  2. Feature and slot gates — Kitchen producer/cooking slots, Mailbox roll counts, Dissolver/Transmute access, and Quest Pack floors all gate on Tune-In level.
  3. RSNC spending discount — diminishing curve, capped at 20% off RSNC prices at L90 Resonate. USDSC pricing stays flat. See Pay-or-Play Parity.

On legacy/additive brands (brands not yet on Bounty Mode), Tune-In's historical Generation Boost still multiplies per-event RSNC payouts (capped 5.0× / +400% from L80+). On Bounty Mode brands, that boost doesn't apply to the weekly bounty payout — your share is purely your AS share.

See: Tune In, Tune-In Events, and Solfeggio Roles.

How do I level Tune-In?

Just participate. Every qualifying event emits AS in real time, and AS feeds your Tune-In progress in the same transaction. As of 2026-05-21, levels follow an A4 per-tier Solfeggio curve — each of 9 tiers has its own chunk cost (5K → 80K AS). Cumulative thresholds: L10 = 5,000 AS, L20 = 15,000 AS, L30 = 30,000 AS, L50 = 75,000 AS, L70 = 160,000 AS, L90 = 300,000 AS.

There's also a 10,000 AS / week hard cap — once you hit it, further events emit 0 AS until next Monday rollover.

Your level is floored — V1 burners keep a permanent floor (L10 if they reached L10+ via burn, or their actual V1 level if lower). See Tune In.

Why did my Tune-In level drop on 2026-05-21?

The V1 amnesty hardset went live today and reset cumulative AS to what you've earned this current week, then applied a permanent level floor based on your V1 history. If you'd never burned RSNC in V1, your floor is L0; if you reached L10+ via V1 burning, your floor is L10; if your V1 burn put you somewhere in L1–L9, that exact level is your floor.

The RSNC you spent burning in V1 was already minted back to you on 2026-05-15 (no questions, no pro-rata) — the hardset closes the loop by retiring the V1 leveling history while honoring your burn investment as a permanent floor. Above the floor, you climb via fresh AS like any new player.

If you feel something looks wrong, drop into Resonance Official and ping support — the floor logic is deterministic from V1 history, so anomalies are usually resolvable.

How long does it take to reach L70 or higher?

At the 10K AS / week max-grind cap, L70 takes about 16 weeks (~4 months) — the cumulative threshold is 160,000 AS. L80 is ~22 weeks, L90 is ~30 weeks. These are intentional plateaus; the 10K weekly cap is the throttle.

At a more casual 1,500 AS / week pace (15% of cap), L10 takes ~3–4 weeks and L20 takes ~10 weeks — still very reachable without grinding.

What's the AS cap?

10,000 AS per user per ISO week, hard cap. Once you hit it, events still count in your history (event count + last emit timestamp update) but emit 0 additional AS until Monday 00:00 UTC rollover. Enforced atomically inside the increment_activity_score_and_hz RPC. The cap is intentionally a flex: pros plateau at 10K; a casual player at ~1,500 AS/week still holds a meaningful slice of the bounty leaderboard.

Did I lose anything in the May 2026 pivot?

No — the pivot was designed to leave every user at least as well off:

  • Every historical RSNC tune burn was minted back unconditionally on 2026-05-15.
  • Your Tune-In level has a permanent floor based on your V1 burn history (L10 if you reached L10+ via burn, your actual V1 level if lower).
  • Discord milestone roles were preserved. No revocation.
  • Generation Boost still works on additive brands — only Bounty Mode brands change the payout model.

You kept your level investment (as a floor) AND got your RSNC back.

What are Solfeggio Roles?

Discord milestone roles granted automatically at L10, L20, L30 … L90 of Tune-In. Named after Solfeggio frequencies (Foundation, Restoration, Liberation, Transformation, Miracles, Connection, Expression, Intuition, Awakening). Cumulative and permanent. See: Solfeggio Roles.

What is the Dissolver?

The Dissolver lets you turn claimed perks into Gear Parts. Select 2+ perks, pay a 100 RSNC fee, and receive a random Part (Standard, Rare, or Mythic). Unlocked at Tune In Level 10. See: Alchemy Guide

What are Gear Parts and Set Bonuses?

Gear Parts come in 6 slots (Head, Shoulders, Chest, Aura, Accessory, Trinket) and 3 rarities (Standard, Rare, Mythic). Complete a full 6/6 set of one rarity for a permanent bonus: Standard +5%, Rare +15%, Mythic +25% to both Generation and Charge. See: Alchemy Guide

What is Transmute?

Transmute lets you combine 10 Parts of one rarity into 1 Part of the next tier. Standard → Rare costs 500 RSNC. Rare → Mythic costs 1,000 RSNC. It's a guaranteed upgrade path instead of relying on dissolve luck. See: Alchemy Guide

What is Batch Dissolve?

Select 4+ perks and dissolve them all at once in pairs. Each pair gets its own independent roll. The fee is 100 RSNC per pair, charged upfront. It saves time when you have many perks to dissolve.

Kitchen

What's the overall goal of the Kitchen? It feels overwhelming.

The Kitchen is an engine, not a checklist. You feed it ingredients and it produces the gear you forge into fighters, snacks that boost your play, and Kitchen Level that makes every future cook better — all so you can build strong fighters for the Arena and Journey. The single best thing to read is The Big Picture — Progression & Endgame: it lists every ceiling and gives a stage-by-stage path so you know what to prioritize.

Should I try to cook every recipe?

No. There's no prize for cooking them all, and the catalog constantly rotates and grows (Permanent recipes are always there; Flash/Limited/Brand/Seasonal come and go). Cook the recipe that makes the thing you need right now. See The Big Picture.

What are the maximums — slots, levels, producer types?

  • Producer archetypes: 5 (one per ingredient family), in 3 tiers, Mythical Ascends A0→A3.
  • Producer slots: 6 · Producer level: L10 · Sub-slots: up to 7.
  • Cooking slots: 3 permanent (+ up to 3 temporary).
  • Equipment slots: 6 · Equipment level: L10 per piece.
  • Kitchen Level: 90 (the primary cook-power axis) · Tune-In: 90 (+Resonate).

Full table and how to reach each: The Big Picture — the ceilings.

How do seeds work?

Seeds are consumable inventory as of 2026-05-21. You plant a seed in a producer's sub-slot, and it produces ingredients for a fixed number of harvests before burning up:

  • Standard seed = 1 harvest, then gone
  • Rare seed = 2 harvests
  • Mythical seed = 3 harvests

Sub-slots hold a FIFO queue — you can plant multiple seeds at once (multi-select), and they auto-promote to the active "head" position as each one burns. When the queue empties, the sub-slot stops yielding until you plant a new seed. The levels you spent RSNC to put into the sub-slot (Quality / Frequency / Rarity picks) are permanent and persist forever — only the seed inventory turns over.

See: Producers — Seeds are consumable.

Are equipment stats percentages or points?

Flat points, not percentages. Equipment shows e.g. "+12 Skill" — that adds 12 points to your Skill total. Rebalanced on 2026-05-20:

  • Standard: +3 to +5 on 1 stat
  • Rare: +6 to +10 on 1–2 stats
  • Mythical: +11 to +20 on 2–3 stats

A perfect Mythical 6/6 rack totals roughly 120 points across Skill / Speed / Elegance. The recipe-success curve hits 99.99% when your gear points sum to about half the recipe's level threshold.

Cook outcome rarity, however, is still a true probability axis. The Variant Elegance bonus (substituting a higher-tier same-family ingredient) adds +20% to the rarity-upgrade chance for that cook — that's a percentage. See: Equipment.

How long do I wait after a cook to see the result?

About 5–10 seconds. As of 2026-05-21, cook outputs mint immediately via ctx.waitUntil — the old 5-minute cron delay is gone. You'll see a reveal modal play first (base rarity, then bumped rarity with confetti if Elegance procced an upgrade), and the token lands in your inventory right after.

Technical

What is an NFT in this context?

When you claim a perk, it's recorded as a digital certificate (NFT) on the Soneium blockchain. This is just the underlying technology — you don't need to understand or interact with NFTs directly. Think of it as a digital receipt that proves you own the perk.

What blockchain does Resonance use?

Resonance runs on Soneium, a fast and low-cost blockchain. You never interact with it directly — all blockchain operations happen behind the scenes.

Is my data secure?

Yes. Resonance uses SOC 2 certified, GDPR compliant infrastructure with 256-bit encryption. Authentication is powered by Privy, an enterprise-grade identity provider.

Support

How do I get help?

Something isn't working in Discord

Try these steps:

  1. Make sure the server has the Resonance bot (try /balance)
  2. Check if you have the right permissions
  3. Check your cooldown (some commands have 24h cooldowns)
  4. Contact the server admin or email support@rsnc.network

May 2026 Pivot

What is Activity Score and how do I see mine?

Activity Score (AS) is the engagement metric introduced in the May 2026 pivot. Every qualifying action you take emits AS. AS does three things:

  1. Feeds your Tune-In Hz progress (lifetime — never resets).
  2. Determines your weekly share of each brand's Bounty Pool (weekly — resets Mon 00:00 UTC with 25% rolled forward).
  3. Persists on the per-brand-per-week leaderboard.

You'll see two AS numbers, both real and both tracked:

  • /cooldowns → Activity Score (this week) — per-week velocity. Drives bounty payout share.
  • Alchemy → Effects → Lifetime Activity Score — cumulative. Feeds Tune-In Hz progress.

See: Activity Score.

How does the Weekly Bounty work?

On brands running Bounty Mode, every Monday at 00:01 UTC, the brand's weekly RSNC budget is split across qualifying members by AS share:

your_payout = floor(your_AS / sum_of_qualifying_AS × pool)

Default qualifying floor is 50 AS / week — below that you receive 0 from the bounty (but your AS still feeds Tune-In and lifetime totals). Per-recipient cap is 1,000,000 RSNC / week. Resonance Official's W21 pool is 50,000 RSNC.

Sustained, broad participation across the week pays better than a one-day burst. Bounty payouts also bypass the +6% Signal subscription multiplier — anti-farm against subscribe-then-cancel exploitation of the Mon cron.

What's the difference between "Lifetime Engagement" (in /milestones) and "Activity Score" (in /cooldowns)?

Two different stats with similar names — they coexist:

  • "Activity Score" in /cooldowns — per-week velocity. Resets weekly with 25% rollover. Drives bounty payout share.
  • "Lifetime Engagement" in /milestones — lifetime composite (messages × 1.5 + voice × 10 + reactions × 7.5 + streak/lifetime bonuses). The milestone unlock criterion (Echo → Resonat). Never resets.

The Lifetime Activity Score in Alchemy → Effects is a third stat — cumulative AS across all weeks, the input that feeds your Tune-In Hz progress.

Can I farm AS by reacting to the same post 500 times?

No. The bot tracks a per-(server, reactor, message) dedup key with 24h TTL. Toggle on/off any number of times = 1 count. To grow the Reaction Given family, you need to react to different messages from different people. Lifetime cap on Reaction Given is 50/week.

Why don't my per-event RSNC numbers look like they did before May 2026?

If you're on a brand that's flipped to Bounty Mode, the answer is: per-event RSNC is now 0 on that brand. The brand's weekly budget is paid as a single Monday morning bounty share weighted by your AS, not as per-event drips. Run /cooldowns — if you see a Projected Weekly Bounty section, that brand is on bounty mode.

If you're still seeing per-event RSNC, you're on an additive (legacy) brand, and the per-event payout still works the way it always has. AS still accumulates in the background and still feeds your Tune-In Hz progress.

What about Quest Packs?

Quest Packs are weekly-expiring perks that unlock additional event categories for AS earning. Three tiers ($1 / $3 / $10 USDSC or 1K / 3K / 10K RSNC). They're minted and live, but not yet purchasable during W21 (May 18–24, 2026) — they flip on for purchase Mon 2026-05-25. A free reso-official-starter-2026-w21 pack covers all gated event types during the canary week.
