Glyphs
A glyph is the currency you spend to build a specialization. Glyphs are fungible — one balance for your whole account, not a separate item per skill. You earn them, then spend them on the choices that shape a talent tree.
Your combat kit comes from the specialization you field, not from inscribing a glyph one skill at a time. Glyphs are now the build currency: you spend them on a spec's fork choices, on respeccing, and on unlocking a second spec. Everything a spec grants is fielded automatically — see Skills.
Earning glyphs
Cook Glyph Transmute in the Kitchen. It converts your role Scores into fungible glyph currency, credited to your account balance. That's the single source — there's no glyph to find, drop, or pull from a pack.
Notations are no longer a currency or a mechanic — their recipes are retired, their SKUs inactive, and their faucets shut. Glyphs are now a single fungible currency. If you still hold any Notations, they auto-convert to glyph currency — 1 / 3 / 5 glyphs for Standard / Rare / Mythic — the first time you open Talents or an Avatar's specialization. There's nothing to do; the balance is simply there.
If you earned named glyph tokens under the old inscribe-a-skill system, they convert to glyph currency automatically — once, at their old rarity value — the next time you open Glyph Transmute or an Avatar's specialization.
Spending glyphs — building a tree
You spend glyphs from an Avatar's Roster as you climb a specialization's rungs. Only the forks (where the tree makes you choose) cost anything — Grants, the skills handed to you when your Avatar reaches a rung's Ascension tier, are free.
| Action | Cost |
|---|---|
| First pick at a fork | 1 glyph |
| Change a fork pick (repick) | 2 glyphs |
| Reset a spec's tree | 5 glyphs |
| Unlock a second spec on an Avatar | 20 glyphs |
Because glyphs are fungible and per-account, they pool across your whole roster — bank them from Glyph Transmute, then spend them on whichever Avatar you're building.
Every specialization hands you its core (builder · spender · passive) and its Grant rungs for nothing. Glyphs only pay for the fork decisions, so a tree costs as much as the number of choices you make in it — plan the build before you buy.
