Campaign
Campaign is the War Table — the Militia's passive harvest. You deploy up to 12 Avatars to an open world, spend Campaign Rations as fuel, and the team farms that world's materials on its own until the fuel runs out.
How it works
- Pick an open world and deploy up to 12 Avatars. Your team needs at least 2,000 total power to campaign — a weaker team can't harvest a full sweep, so Deploy stays locked until you add stronger or more Avatars.
- Commit Campaign Rations as fuel. The amount comes straight out of your Ration balance when the campaign starts, and burns down over time while your team harvests that world's materials — roughly one chapter-sweep every hour per 2,000 team power, burning 5 Rations per sweep (passive harvesting is a premium over playing a run by hand).
- Every effective sweep also earns 1 Crest — Crests are the premium payout, so a big Crest goal (a Celestial Relic needs 500 Crests) is a deliberate multi-day churn of Rations, RSNC and time, not a quick farm.
- Send element-matched Avatars — a world gives +25% power to Avatars of its own element (Fire Avatars in Cinderfall, Storm Avatars in Stillair).
You can run up to 3 campaigns at once.
While a campaign is running its Avatars can't Journey, work producers, or take Bounties. Avatars already busy elsewhere can't be deployed. Recall any time to free them — but the Rations you committed are already spent, and the unburned remainder is forfeit.
Campaign Rations
Rations are a balance, not an item. There is nothing to hold in your inventory, nothing minted, and nothing to trade or sell — cooking Rations credits a number to your account, and starting a campaign spends from it. They work like Crests and Scrolls: earned, off-chain, and yours only.
You cook them in the Kitchen from a basket of Forge materials — the four earn-only families, raw or refined:
- Metal — Ore and Ingot
- Plating — Slag and Plating
- Gem — Shard and Gem
- Rune — Spark and Rune
Throw in any mix. Higher-rarity materials count for more:
| Material rarity | Rations per unit |
|---|---|
| Standard | 1 |
| Rare | 5 |
| Mythic | 10 |
Each Ration also costs 12 RSNC to cook, charged when you cook and scaling with how many Rations that basket yields — a basket that comes out to 24 Rations costs 288 RSNC. Cooking Rations is instant: it uses no cooking slot and there is nothing to wait for or claim — your balance goes up the moment you cook. (A single cook can burn at most 500 material items, so a deep stockpile just takes a few cooks.)
5 Rations fuel 1 chapter-sweep, so a 12-Avatar team at 18,000 power (9 sweeps an hour) burns about 45 Rations an hour. Passive harvesting costs more fuel than an active run for the same loot — that's the trade for farming while you're away.
There's no way to top up a campaign that's already running, and recalling early forfeits what's left. Cook the Rations you need before you deploy, and size the commitment to how long you'll actually be away.
What you get
Campaign pays materials and Crests only — no Activity Score, no Avatar Essence, no RSNC. It's a materials engine that runs while you're away, not a replacement for playing the Journey by hand.
