The Sonentius Aftermath โ€” drive the Dissonance back

Phase 3 โ€” the endgame

The Aftermath is the third and final act of Sonentius, opened when the community drives the Ground Base all the way to the Comms Tower at Lv 5 โ€” the pact. Where the SkyScape raised the monument and the Ground Base defended it, the Aftermath is what comes after the pact is struck: the daily fight inverts, and the whole community turns from defending the walls to pushing the Dissonance back out of the planet's core. It's a permanent, community endgame โ€” this page is the playbook for every piece of it.

The Comms Tower lit, and a voice from the fleet answered the base that held. The pact is made โ€” but it didn't end the story, it changed the threat. The Sentinels no longer strike the base. The Dissonance they once guarded against crept in through the very signal the SkyScape released, and now infects Sonentius from the core. So the daily fight flips: you're no longer defending the walls โ€” you're driving the Dissonance back, one node at a time, alongside every other Resonator.

1. Getting in โ€” the two keysโ€‹

The Aftermath opens on two conditions, one shared and one personal:

  1. The community key โ€” the pact. Your community's Sonentius Ground Base must have reached the Comms Tower Lv 5 story capstone. That's a shared milestone โ€” once any community drives the base there, the Aftermath phase is open for everyone in it, and the Sonentius Chapter 4 capstone (the Aspect) is unlocked on the map for all.
  2. Your personal key โ€” answer the Aspect. You must have cleared the Sonentius Chapter 4 capstone yourself โ€” Sonentius, Aspect of the Planet (sonentius-c4-n09), on any difficulty. Facing the Aspect is your way in; until you've felled it, the Concord and the Sentinel forge stay closed for you even though the base is in the Aftermath.

Not in yet?

If you don't see the Concord or the Sentinel forge, check which key you're missing. No Aspect fight on your Sonentius map? Your community hasn't struck the pact yet โ€” push the Ground Base to Comms Tower Lv 5. Aspect available but the Aftermath surfaces are still closed? Clear the Aspect โ€” that's your personal key. (Parts of the Aftermath also roll out operator-first, so a piece may be dogfooded before it opens for everyone.)

2. What opens now โ€” three ways to keep the vowโ€‹

The Aftermath adds three build objectives the community reconstructs on the Ground Base, each unlocking one leg of the endgame. They're built the same way every Ground-Base plot is โ€” voted, then funded with cooked Sonentius Fragments:

Build objectiveCostLeg it unlocksWhat you do there
The War Room30,000The Concord + the Dissonant FrontThe weekly community Dissonance ladder (ยง3) and the co-op Front (ยง6) share this one building โ€” it's the Aftermath's beating heart.
The Sentinel Factory30,000Build-Your-Own-SentinelForge your own custom Sentinel Avatar out of Sonentius Alloy (ยง5).
The Sonentian Forge30,000Sonentian gear recipesOpens the Sonentian Lightsaber and the Sonentius Farscope โ€” forge and elevate both at the Kitchen.

Three things to know about them:

  • They're build-once. Unlike the Ground-Base plots, an Aftermath building has no levels โ€” a flat 30,000 Fragments raises it and it's done forever.
  • They're independent. Each opens its own leg the moment it completes โ€” you don't need all three. Pick the leg the community wants first.
  • Each adds +30 Base Power, so all three together put +90 on the base.

All three need the Comms Tower (the pact) as their prerequisite, and none of them appear on the vote slate until the base has entered the Aftermath.

Because these are community buildings, once a building is built, its leg is open for everyone who holds their personal key (the Aspect clear).

3. The Concord โ€” the weekly Dissonance ladderโ€‹

The Concord is the heart of the Aftermath: a weekly community Dissonance ladder. Every Sonentius node you clear feeds two things at once โ€” the Network Concord community meter (everyone's contributions, pooled) and your personal weekly score (which ranks you against every other Resonator). Open it from the Concord standings button by the map's Dissonant banner, the Concord card, or your dashboard.

The Concord is now per-world

The Concord began here in the Sonentius Aftermath, but it has since opened across the worlds โ€” every open world hosts its own weekly Concord board, so you rank against the people playing that world rather than every Resonator at once. A world switcher on the Concord page lets you check any of them; the tutorial Resonant Plains is the one world with no Concord. Everything in this section describes the Sonentius board, and it works the same on every other world's board. See The Dissonance Ladder for the short, all-worlds version.

How scoring worksโ€‹

  • Push for more. A clear scores on the same efficiency math as the Daily Trials, amplified by the Dissonance you dared โ€” the harder the run, the higher the score. A wipe scores nothing.
  • Chase the active node (2ร—). Each UTC day, up to 20 Sonentius nodes glow "Dissonant" on the map, and one is "active" at a time, rotating every 4 hours. Clearing the active Dissonant node pays 2ร— score โ€” so it pays to chase the rotating target rather than farm a convenient node. (A non-active Dissonant node's bonus is a higher Dissonant Core drop rate, not score โ€” see ยง4.)

The daily node cap โ€” 20 optimal, 200 maximalโ€‹

This is the one every hard grinder runs into, so it's worth understanding up front:

Only your first 20 clears each day score at full Concord value. After that, each additional clear scores a little less, tapering linearly to zero by your 200th clear of the day. The counter resets at UTC midnight.

  • Clears 1โ€“20 โ€” the optimal band: full value. This is where focused play lives.
  • Clears 21โ€“199 โ€” tapering: each one still counts, but for progressively less.
  • Clear 200+ โ€” the maximal cap: scores zero Concord. If you keep clearing and your weekly score stops climbing, this is why โ€” you've hit the daily maximum. It resets at UTC midnight and full-value scoring returns.

The cap exists so that grinding one easy node all day can't out-score focused play at high Dissonance. It affects Concord score only โ€” your loot and Dissonant Core drops still land on every single clear, capped or not.

See your own progress in-app

Your Concord standing shows a "Nodes scored today" bar โ€” N of 20 optimal ยท 200 max โ€” so you can see exactly where you are against the cap and when your score will resume climbing. The (โ„น) beside it explains the throttle at the point of friction. This is the answer to "I keep winning but my score won't move": check the bar.

What the ladder paysโ€‹

  • The Network Concord meter climbs across the whole 28-day Aftermath event as the community lands clears, passing community milestones that advance the Aftermath story (the Chronicle).
  • Your weekly rank pays out every week. The top of the ladder earns Crests (rank #1 the most, scaling down through the top 50), and the week sizes an RSNC pool that scales with the number of participants. Weekly payouts reset every platform week even as the community meter keeps climbing across the event.

4. Dissonant Cores โ€” the gear-elevation keystoneโ€‹

Dissonant Cores are the keystone material for Dissonant gear elevation โ€” spend 30 to permanently add +20% to a gear piece. They're earned by every player (not just in the Aftermath), and they now drop across every open world's Concord boards, not only Sonentius. There are two faucets:

  • A background trickle on any clear โ€” a flat low chance, so Cores aren't gated purely on hitting a Dissonant node.
  • A much higher chance on a Dissonant-node clear, and it rises with the Dissonance you dared โ€” pushing harder on a Dissonant node is the fastest way to farm Cores (up to a cap).

Core drops are independent of your Concord score: they roll on every clear, so they keep dropping even after you've passed the daily Concord score cap โ€” a long grind day is never wasted, it just stops adding to your ladder score.

5. Build-Your-Own-Sentinelโ€‹

The Aftermath's signature reward is a custom Sentinel Avatar you build yourself โ€” the "pet Sentinel" that lands right on your Roster and fights alongside your other Avatars. You earn Sentinel Shards from Sonentius Chapter 4 clears, synthesize them into Sonentius Alloy, then spend Alloy to forge and level your one Sentinel.

It has its own full page โ€” Build-Your-Own-Sentinel โ€” covering Shards, Alloy synthesis, the forge, and the level curve.

Pets, two ends of one idea

The Sentinel is the endgame pet โ€” one you actively build and fight with. The everyday kind are the collectible Geneticist pets, each carrying a small always-on passive. Start there if you're new to pets; build a Sentinel once you've reached the Aftermath.

6. The Dissonant Frontโ€‹

The Dissonant Front is the Aftermath's co-op deployment: the same board you know as the Barracks' Group Quests, but re-pointed at the Dissonance โ€” and it takes Sentinels only. It opens with the War Room.

If you've run Group Quests, you already know it. Identical machinery: quests appear on a daily board, you deploy a unit, and when enough Resonators join, the quest settles and the pool splits pro-rata. Three things differ:

Group Quests (Barracks)Dissonant Front (War Room)
Who you deployany Avataryour built Sentinel only โ€” a normal Avatar is refused
What it paysEssence, pro-rataCrests, pro-rata by Sentinel power
Where it comes fromthe Barracksthe War Room (Aftermath)

How a deploy works:

  • Each quest holds up to 12 Sentinels, first-come-first-served, 1 per player โ€” so up to 12 distinct Resonators per quest.
  • A quest needs at least 3 distinct players to complete and pay out. Under three and it simply expires.
  • You may join up to 3 Front deploys per UTC day โ€” and that cap is separate from your 3 Group Quest joins, so the Front doesn't eat your Barracks allowance.
  • Quests come in Standard / Rare / Mythical / Legendary tiers; richer tiers are rarer on the board and hold a longer join window (8 / 12 / 18 / 24 hours) so a squad has time to gather.
  • The Crest pool scales with tier โ€” 3 ยท 5 ยท 8 ยท 12 Crests for Standard ยท Rare ยท Mythical ยท Legendary โ€” split pro-rata by the power of the Sentinels deployed, so a stronger Sentinel takes a bigger slice. Crests are scarce (a solo quest completion grants 1), which is why the pools look small.
  • Front quests also carry Sonentius material rolls, split the same pro-rata way.

Where to go: the Front takes over the co-op board on the Sonentius Ground Base โ€” a base shows one board kind per day, so on a Front day the Barracks board is the Dissonant Front. Deploy from there.

Rewards staged

Like Group Quests, the Front's board is live to view and deploy on while the Crest payout is still being switched on โ€” completions are recorded and paid when rewards go live. It also rolls out operator-first, so you may not see it until the gate lifts. Treat it as a preview until then.
